Anything but "nice"!

GOOD IDEA

You could make a list of adjectives that you can use instead of "nice".  Then you could turn to it whenever you want to use a word that is more interesting.  Wouldn't that be nice!

Boys can be mischievous, kind or cruel,

Bossy or friendly or noisy or cool,

Loud as a lion or quiet as mice;

Anything, anything, anything but “nice”!

Girls can be helpful, clever and delightful,

Squeamish or excitable or absolutely frightful,

Charming and sweet, like sugar and spice;

Anything, anything, anything but “nice”!

Food can be tasty, spicy or creamy,

Heavenly, delicious, appetising, dreamy,

Served with spaghetti or chips or rice;

Anything, anything, anything but “nice”!

Houses can be eerie or spooky or dusty,

Clean and shiny or dark and musty,

Comfortable and pleasant or “cheap at half the price”;

Anything, anything, anything but “nice”!

The weather can be snowy or rainy or drippy,

Pleasant or windy or cool or nippy,

Warm and sunny or cold as ice;

Anything, anything, anything but “nice”!

Pets can be cuddly or playful or scary,

Smooth and sleek or rough and hairy,

Clean or dirty or covered in lice;

Anything, anything, anything but “nice”!
