You will need 6 matches (make sure they are "dead" ones)

(You could use "lolly sticks" or cocktail sticks or pencils - as long as they are all the same length)

It is obvious that you could use 3 of the matches to construct an equilateral triangle

(equilateral = all 3 sides are the same length)

You could use 5 of the matches to construct TWO equilateral triangles.

If you had 7 matches you could construct THREE equilateral triangles.

THE CHALLENGE

Using only the 6 matches you must construct FOUR equilateral triangles whose sides are all one full match length.

(You must not bend or break any of the matches!)
