pens or pencils.

DESCRIPTION
Initially, students work
individually.
Each student thinks of a
colour and writes it down. If they have coloured pencils, crayons or
felt-tip pens, students can draw a coloured “blob”. (The teacher
could allocate a specific colour if this is to lead on to a further
activity.)
Without talking to anyone
else, students write their answers to the following questions. (Students
do not need to worry about spellings - nobody else needs to read what they
have written.)
-
Think of your chosen
colour. How does it make you feel?
-
Think of your chosen
colour. What food does it like to eat?
-
Think of your chosen
colour. What animal would it be?
-
Think of your chosen
colour. What would its name be? (Alan?, Bethany?, Carl?)
-
Think of your chosen
colour. What games or sport does it like to play?
-
Think of your chosen
colour. What is its favourite song?
In groups of 3 or 4,
students now share their ideas. With the help of the group, each student
chooses one of their answers to tell to the whole class.
